Unique aspects of the Mendocino County Acupuncture Clinic:
The amount of time spent with each patient (2 hrs on first visit and 1 hour on each subsequent visit). Each individual is given an initial two-hour session during which Chinese pulse analysis, tongue diagnosis and other methods of diagnosis take place prior to determining the course of treatment. Then patients are given treatment, which may include one or more of the following: acupuncture, moxibustion, electrostimulation, cupping, massage and an herbal prescription.
Anthony's background in Western Medicine. Over 30 years as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist and Lab Manager in hospitals gives him an understanding of a patient's condition from both a western and eastern medical perspective.
The use of raw herbs to be cooked by the patient for their potency and healing property as opposed to pills, capsules, granules and powders. The herbs consist of a unique combination of raw Chinese herbs, tailored specifically for the individual. The patient cooks the herbs at home for maximum freshness and potency.
Anthony's extensive knowledge of nutrition and diet as related to healing specific medical conditions.
The office is located in the Ukiah Medical Building with four treatment rooms and a complete raw herb pharmacy.
The office is in the center of Ukiah's business district, yet the atmosphere is peaceful, quiet and meditative.
